Mini Volunteer

mini volunteer Consider a mini-volunteer project of Nepal, if you are looking for a short hiatus or a unique travel opportunity. In this mini-volunteer program in Nepal, volunteers will work for the first 10 days for orphaned children left behind because of local poverty. Work in a Nepal orphanage mainly focuses on education or teaching English to the orphans. However, additional help with cooking, sanitation, feeding, games, painting, and other creative activities is always needed. NCYE-Nepal makes your Nepal volunteer experience even richer by incorporating four days of rugged, creative, and engaging trekking that covers the Annapurna trekking Trail. Nepal's unforgettable, cheerful kids, and the service projects that serve them, provide an unforgettable opportunity which will last a lifetime.
Program outlines
  • Day 1 :   Orientation of NCYE-Nepal at the Kathmandu office. Orientation covers children issues (1 hour Guest lecture), field condition, host family or anticipated living conditions, safety issues, climate expectations, working projects, and related topics.
  • Day 2 :   Leave for project early in the morning after breakfast and introductions with orphans, staff, and the host family. Volunteers will work at Asna Child Rehabilitation Center. This is a recognized orphanage working in the children welfare sector. This orphanage aims to offer home, education, and love for orphan kids. Currently, home hosts 26 orphans aged 5 to 15 who are brought there from different parts of the country. There is committee of 7 members to achieve the missions and run the orphanage. The committee is responsible for the logistics support and other funding process. The orphanage is located in Rampur Chitwan which is five hours drive from Kathmandu. There are all together 5 persons to care of them.
  • Day 3-10 :   Working in orphanage project for 9 days. Share your love, talents, and time with poor children. Activities mainly focus on basic English teaching and helping the children with creative activities such as art, music, dance, sports, handicrafts, etc. Additional help with sanitation, cooking, and administrative work might be expected.
  • Himalayan Trekking (4 Days)
  • Day 11-14 :   Himalayan trekking on the Annapurna trekking trail. Volunteers will pass and behold the beautiful Himalayas, landscaping, ethnic villages.
